On Wednesday, January 30th Fr Harry led a prayer service to mark Catholic Schools Week in Kilmurry N.S. Parents and grandparents of Infant pupils joined us for a short ceremony in the classroom during which the children also received a blessing.

Fr. Harry blessed the children, their grandparents and parents today.
Fr. Harry also blessed the St. Bridget’s Crosses. Thanks to John Liddy who supplied us with the rushes.

Grandparents’ Day
Grandparents’ Day was celebrated today. Fr Harry led the pupils of Junior and Senior Infants in a prayer service.
Catholic Schools Week
Catholic Schools Week begins on Sunday, January 29th. The pupils will make St Brigid Crosses. Each class will focus on the theme of creation with reference to Pope Francis and St Francis. Fr Harry has been invited to the Infant Classroom on Wednesday, February 1st to celebrate Grandparents’ Day. Fr Harry will bless each child in Junior and Senior Infants. Parents, and/or grandparents of these children are welcome to join us at 1pm. Catholic Schools Week will conclude on Friday February 3rd.

Sacrament of Confirmation 2016
Today was a very special day in the life of the community of Kilmurry. Our sixth class pupils were conferred with the Sacrament of Confirmation in their local church. Fr. Harry celebrated the Mass and the ceremony was enriched by beautiful music and hymns. Afterwards, refreshments were served to all

Fr. Harry visited our school today and blessed the children in the Infant classroom.
Catholic Schools Week
Catholic Schools Week will be celebrated this week. On Friday next February 5th at 12 noon Fr Harry will visit our school and bless each child in Infants. Parents are welcome to join us for this short ceremony. During the week pupils will make St Bridget’s crosses keeping alive this tradition and also remembering St Bridget, Patroness of Ireland.
