The members of the Green School Committee raised the green flag and the members of the Active School Committee raised the Active School flag. Carmel from the Kilmurry Tidy Towns Committee addressed the pupils and thanked them for their work to date. The pupils were also encouraged to continue to care for these flowers.

William, a member of the Banner Beekeepers Association, visited our school and shared his love of the bees with the pupils.

Thanks to Ms. Donnelly for arranging the events of the day.

Flags 2017

Kilmurry N.S. has been awarded two flags this year – a green school flag for achievements in the area of bio diversity and for the very first time an active school flag.

Congratulations to Ms. Donnelly and Ms. Garry who co-ordinated the work.

Well done to the members of both the Green School Committee and the Active School Committee.
