On Wednesday the 21st November, 3rd and 4th class went to Mary Immaculate College to take part in the Science Week Hands on Minds on Workshop. There were groups of four working on different experiments. One group learned about slopes and used a piece of paper and used different things to see which materials made the best car. Another group learned about parachutes and made one each and we saw that different materials worked better to land the egg from the third floor to the first floor. One group were building bridges and used different materials to make bridges. Also another group learned lungs. They made makeshift lungs with balloons and plastic bottles. It was very interesting and we had great fun. We all said bye and went back to school and we got pencil and rulers.
