On Thursday the 15th Kilmurry N.S. 6th class girls and boys went to Gurteen basketball court to play in the Marian Keane basketball Tournament. We left the school at 9.30 am to go to Gurteen. We went into our dressing room and got ready for the matches ahead. Our first match was against Kilkishen and that match went very well. We won 6-0. We had two matches back to back, after having a long break. Our second match was against Quin and we unfortunately we lost to them 8-2. We then had a match straight away against Tulla. We won 8-0. Unfortunately as Kilkishen did not beat Quin we were knocked out and came in second place. Even though we did not win it was still an enjoyable day.

On Thursday 15-3-2018, Kilmurry 6th class students went to Gurteen for a basketball Tournament. We left the school at half nine and arrived at around ten to ten. When we arrived we got changed in the dressing room and went out to the hall to warm up. The boys had to wait about an hour and a bit for the girls to finish. When it was the boys turn we played Quin first and beat them 6-2. After a wait of three games we played Tulla in a tantalizing contest and it went right down to the wire. The game ended in a draw so we had to go to golden basket. We ended up winning 6-4. Then we played Kilkishen in our last match and we won comfortably with scores all around the court. We ended up winning the Basketball Tournament and we are through to a quarter final after Easter. We had a great day.
